The creator of the document was the Darell and Stephens family of Trewornan, Cornwall.2
     He made a will on 10 March 1742 at St Minver, Cornwall, England. Robert specified several small gifts of money but the residue of his estate was left to his eldest daughter Rebecca Blake who appears to have been unmarried at the time of her father's death. His son John was to receive one guinea of gold and three and twenty shillings, a very small amout and a token only. This indicates either that John had already received his inheritance or that any property was subject to an entail and would have automatically passed to John as the only son. Robert gave one guinea each to his daughter Elizabeth Mably and her children, John and Robert Mably. His youngest daughter Anne Blake was given one hundred pounds and other itemed goods. His godson John Rundell and wife Elizabeth who were "now living with me" were to receive one crown each.
