     Simon Withiel was born before 1350. Simon was granted licence to study in theology or canon law at Oxford till Mich. next 31 December 1354. Following his graduation he had a distinguished career and was to hold several appointments in Cornwall.

In 1354 he was appointed as a subdeacon as Rector of Withiel, a position he held until 1366.

At the conclusion of his appointment as parson of the church of Wythiel, a ratification of his estate was documented at Westminster on 15 May 1366.1 Simon Wythiel died before October 1376.

Dated Bodmyn, 14 July 28 Henry VI (1450).1 He died after 1529.

The translation suggested was that Thomas was a sub-deacon and was suspended because of non-celebration of feast days.1 He died after 1273.

Ellen Terisa Withell died on 18 October 1895 at age 42 It seems likely that Ellen may have reverted to her maiden name at some stage - Withell was an extremely unusual name in Ireland.1 Her estate was probated in November 1895 at Dublin, Ireland, Ellen had been living at 168 North Strand Road Dublin and was a widow. Probate was granted to John d'Arcy, also of 168 North Strand Road Dublin, Gentleman. Effects were valued at 61 pounds.2
