     Stephen Vivian Withiel yeoman was born before 13 October 1759 at St Austell, Cornwall, England.2 At the Quarter Sessions, Humphrey Prideaux, esq., lord of the manor of Padstow, nominated Stephen Withiel of Padstow, yeoman as gamekeeper on 16 September 1784. The Vivian family were influential in this part of Cornwall and the connection would have been useful. The appointment explains why Stephen and his family moved from St Blazey to Padstow where two of their children were baptised.1 He died before 3 February 1791 at Padstow, Cornwall, England.3 He was buried on 3 February 1791 at Padstow, Cornwall, England.3

Withiel of St. Neot, yeo. for a property as noted, with common of pasture on Goonzion downs for one horse, 5 sheep, a pig and a goose, all premises being part of Lake's Yeat.
Endorsed: "Surrendered 1846".3 He died on 30 January 1823 at St Neot, Cornwall, England.2
