Batley is a town within the Metropolitan Borough of Kirklees, in West Yorkshire, England. It lies 7 miles (11 km) southeast of Bradford, 7 miles (11 km) southwest of Leeds and 1 mile (2 km) north of Dewsbury, near the M62 motorway. Staincliffe is a small village between Dewsbury and Helmondwicke.
